I've always been an Aidan girl. Big definitely grew on me (c'mon, what girl wouldn't love a guy who comes to Paris to tell them he loves them?)...but I still like Aidan better.
P.S. Please don't ruin the movie for those of us who haven't seen it yet!
I'm totally going to ruin the movie here. Aidan is killed by Iron Man after it is discovered that Tony Stark is actually the father of Aidan's child. Big is elected President of the United States, and Carrie cuts her hair really short and starts wearing a lot of boxy business suits. Miranda starts spending a lot of time with her new 'friend' Becky. Charlotte leaves Harry for Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred. Samantha is diagnosed with a rare form of syphilis which actually causes sentient tumors to grow on the shoulders...two of which convince her to start writing off-broadway productions about Mexican Jumping Beans. She wins a Tony. Steve is arrested when he is discovered doing large amounts of blow with Mylie Cyrus. Harry sues CBS for that travesty of a mixed martial arts broadcast involving Kimbo Slice and wins a ton of money hoping to win back Charlotte's love...only to be brutally rebuffed after seeing her cruising around in the Batmobile.
The film ends with Jack Berger gunning down every patron at the restaurant in which the four girls are having lunch, before turning the gun on himself, because he was a little upset with the way Carrie handled their breakup.
I got to thinking and couldnt help but wonder is timing everything? Personally I am an Aiden Gay. I would rather date Aiden. However if it is a question of who should she ended up for? Carrie should have always ended up with him, he was great and funny and together they balanced each other. She got greedy is all. Her and Big were all wrong, four breaks up a good relationship does not make. However as the movie shows it is all about timing-her and Aiden just werent in the right time, they were on different timelines. Carrie is a big neurotic mess most of the time and anyone who put up with the shit she put him through is an angel. Also I am just much more of a jeans and t kinda guy than a smooth suit. I am like Charlotte-except I have always been rooting for Aiden!
i mised this question so am answering now... definitely an Aidan gal!!!!! i liked the old and new aidan (pre and post breakup)... there's just something about his smile... ahh-
the episode when she ran into him on her way to the date with berger broke my heart. looked like he still loved her!!
